Underwood Ammoâ„¢ XTP rounds are notable for their power and accuracy. We combine Hornadyâ„¢ unparalleled XTP bullets with our own carefully formulated design which results in one lethal round.
As with all of Underwood Ammoâ„¢ rounds, we utilize flash suppressed powder so that your vision will not be compromised if it becomes necessary to use your firearm in low light.
Nickel plated casings with our new nickel plating process provides several key benefits, not limited to but including; improved feeding in all actions of firearms, enhanced corrosion resistance over traditional brass, improved cosmetics, and ease of cleanup during reloading. Nickel plated casings will not tarnish like brass during storage or when in contact with foreign materials such as leather, moisture, and other metals.
Until the development of the Ducta-Bright 7a process, nickel plating casings often limited the number of reloads as compared to raw brass. It was claimed that nickel plated brass casings embrittled the brass therefor making it less desirable for reloaders despite the ease of cleanup that nickel plating offers. In addition, ammunition engineers raising concerns of using nickel plating in very hot +P or magnum loads found that traditional nickel plating often cracked deep-drawn cases, or worse, lead to a total failure. This new process eliminates any concern, to the shooter or reloader, of hazard or ability to re-use the brass.
While taking advantage of our state of the art testing equipment, this high performance ammunition is field tested using popular, real firearms that our customers are most likely to own out in the real world with all the elements you would experience. If for some reason Underwood Ammunition fails to meet performance expectations, we stand by our product 100% and will make sure the customer is satisfied with every purchase.
This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

Not As Good As it Used to BeI give it a 3 stars because I guess it could be my guns. Before these had nickel cases, the round was very precise shooting a little over an inch at 25 with both of my 1911's. Now, I am getting about 6" groups with both guns. The 135 gr still shoot very well. I am just happy Underwood is touching this round, but with this accuracy and the lack of a mid-range weight (165gr), I purchased everything that I need for hand loading. The velocity is accurate with this round.

40 Super & I mean SUPER !Purchased a Glock 21SF, dropped in a Lone Wolf conversion barrel 6.02", changed the guide rod and spring. Installed a 22lb spring over factory 18lb and a SS guide rod. Have shot at the range out to 50 yards, great accuracy and velocity. Watch out deer and hogs !

40 super the much overlooked caliberI purchased a glock 30 s 45acp and replace all the factory barrels with fully supported ones. I think it was like or sye at Kkm that told me about the drop in conversion the manufacture so I opted to try this caliber.
Let me just say this, underwood packs a lot of power in all their ammo.
The 10mm was my carry choise and after testing the 40 super with a comp this shoots like a 9mm.
My 10mm is in the safe replaced and do not think I have a use for it.

WTF, I said out loudI shot 40 rounds from my g21 today. I had to stop shooting steel plates due to the rounds adverse affect on the punishing impact on them. The recoil is what you would expect from 200 grains moving like a rapped ape. It's very accurate. "Get Some"
